1) I agree w/ the pasta & bread idea.
2) Dessert: brownies or cupcakes?
3) Name-tags? I think that would be helpful for both the families and for us.
4) Games: group pictionary or we could break into smaller groups for board games (uno, yahtzee, apples to apples..etc.).
5) Activities: I think it would be fun to have a sheet of brain-teasers/riddles and the mentee, parents, and mentor had to all work together to solve them. Any other ideas of something the three of us could do together?
6) "Chief" - I love this game. Everyone sits in a circle, one person is chosen to leave the room (where they can't see or hear) and a "Chief" is chosen. His/her role is to lead the group in an assortment of movements (clapping, tapping your head, snapping..etc.) once everyone begins the movements, the person outside comes back and stands in the middle of the circle. Everyone watches the Chief and changes their movements according to what the Chief does. The person in the middle has 2/3 guesses on who the chief is. Then it's another person's turn!
7) Poem writing.. The mentee must write a poem for his/her parent and v.v.
8) TWISTER!
